Stanley # 18/ #9-1/2 side plate. READ FULL DESCRIPTION.

You’re buying the side plate removed from a Stanley #18 block plane. I had this plate installed on my #65 block plane that had a broken right side (viewed from the back, or user end of the plane).This plate worked well until I found an original side plate from a damaged 65. Instead of relegating this plate to the scrap pile, I thought that someone out there might find this plate of interest. The plate was attached using 7/64″ holes at the appropriate locations, and the holes were tapped for 6 – 32 screws .I MAKE NO GUARANTEES, just thought someone might find this plate useful, or maybe just the idea for an innovative repair.
