For sale is three vintage Salter’s brass hanging balance scales. No.2 Pocket Balance to 40lbs No.2 Salter’s Improved Spring Balance to 100lbs (this one appears to be rare because I can’t find another one) Salter’s Improved Spring Balance to 40lbs All three scales, I have given a wipe down and clean ready for their new owner. I have kept the original patina on them, but I suspect they would polish up nice and shiny with a bit of brass cleaner like Brasso. They would look great hanging up on display in a country kitchen. Babco 140 Bench Vise 4″ Jaws Opens to 140mm or 5-1/2″ w/ Pipe Jaws Weighs 40 lbs

Good condition, clamps smoothly and easily, jaws are somewhat rough and could stand to be replaced. The main body has been spray-painted at some point, some paint chipping overall. Swivel does not want to turn, not sure if it’s stuck or if there’s a bolt that needs loosened. Wrench not included, I just needed something to weight it down for one of the photos. A solid/massive Babco 140 vise. Jaws open to 140mm or 5-1/2″. Disassembled, cleaned and lubed. The base plate shows no signs of cracks turns easily and provides positive lock. Includes locking bolt point, bolt included. Jaw handle is straight and turns smoothly. Anvil face is in good shape with some minor pitting. Horn is in great shape. One jaw has been replaced with a tool-grade steel wrench-handle (made in USA). Closes flush with screws recessed. Holds objects no problem with no slipping, shifting or marring of object. Will include broken jaw. Weighs 40lbs. Fully extended it stretches 19″ from tip of horn to end of handle. If you want to hold a monster object to your bench then you’re going to want a monster vise.
