This claw hammer is marked D. S. Abbott Cast Steel. It’s ears are in the shape of ram horns. It measures 4 1/2″ across and has a short 10″ handle. It is probably a farrier’s hammer. S ABBOTT and I can make out Columbus in the die stamp. It’s rusted, bent, cracked, chipped, and wore rough, the die stamp is hard to see, I wasn’t sure it was Abbott until taking the pictures and zooming in.
