In used condition with signs of age/wear/use. I tried to loosen the wooden part, I didn’t want to force it though so I let it be. I did a quick wipe down but further cleaning may be necessary.

On the front. I don’t see any major issues with the wood. The bottom looks very good for the age. There is a minor chip on the back of the throat. I am not a user. Or i can send more pictures if need to be.

Vintage A & E Baldwin New York profile Molding Plane 1800s Wood Plane
for sale is a vintage A & E Baldwin New York complex molding plane. It is as found from a collectors estate. It has been previously cleaned by the last owner. It is in good solid used condition. the plane measures 9 7/16” long. It is 1 3/4” wide. The cutter measures 1 1/8” wide. There are some stains to the wood. There are a couple of age/end checks on the plane. The wedge is good and solid, and original. I believe the blade is original as well. Please note there is a small chip of wood missing on the boxwood guide insert. (see pictures 11,13) Please see all pictures for condition. Ask questions before you bid.
