Antique Wooden Primitive Scythe Snath Farmtool 5 Feet Long

* Steam-bent wooden snath (the long curved handle), about 5 feet long. * Two wooden hand grips (nibs) attached with forged iron bands. * Forged iron blade socket at one end where the scythe blade originally mounted. * Hand-forged hardware suggests it dates roughly from the late 1800s to early 1900s. Because the blade is missing, it has more value as a decorative primitive or restoration piece than as a working farm tool.

The photos show everything. This was a barn find. I’m not sure of the age, definitely very old, antique, possibly primitive. But I cannot guarantee how old it actually is. It’s very old and well used. You can see the nice shape or style of the handle. This is an awesome collectible, in my opinion. You are buying it AS IS, NO RETURNS. Please use the zoom feature and ask any questions you may have. The photos are the description and they show the condition and the size. It will ship using UPS, FedEx or USPS, whichever I select at time of shipping.
