Rare Bensen & Crannel Wedge Lock Arms Handled Plow Plane – mjdtoolparts
An exceptionally rare and well preserved WEDGE LOCK ARM HANDLED PLOW PLANE by Bensen & Crannell, Albany, New York. In more than forty years of marketing tools, this is the only the second handled plow plane having wedge lock arms that we have seen or offered for sale. The development of the toted plow plane seems to have coincided with the abandonment of the use of wedge lock arms on American plow planes. This example is in top condition and it is clearly marked with the imprint of this Albany, New York plane making partnership, which is documented as having operated between the years 1844 and 1862. Length = 10.50 Inches (Ref. Id No.: 474000) [Free Shipping]
