Key Blank-Taylor 23A-Corbin-Russwin-ilco 1001A-Dominion 01A-Curtis CO28——-TB

Uncut Key Blank – Taylor 23A in Brass Also known as (AKA) ilco 1001A, Dominion 01A or Cole CO28 May fit some Corbin or Russwin door locks I have no specific model or year info for the above brands, so please do your own homework. This key blank is a 7-pin length. Can easily be trimmed while duplicating for 5 or 6-pin locks. When my father retired he needed something to putter around with. Back in the ”70s I had an after-school job at Sears while attending college. When my Dad retired around the same time he took a part-time job there as well to supplement his pension. We both worked in the “Key Shop” in the Sears parking lot. I left Sears after finishing school in ’77. My Dad continued but in ’81 Sears moved to a nearby shopping mall and eliminated the parking-lot key shop at the new location. My Dad decided to work from home and do free-lance work for the many small “Mom & Pop” hardware stores that still existed then. By ’90 or so his health had deteriorated and he was no longer able to get around much. My mother recently passed so I’m going through the old house. I’ll be listing a number of key blanks, locksmith tools and related items over the next few weeks. Since most of my Dad’s stuff was purchased in the mid ’80s it’s around 30 years old. Many of the blanks are no longer available and increasingly hard to find. Luckily I found a couple of vintage locksmith supply catalogs among my Dad’s items. They’ve allowed me to refresh my foggy 30-year-old memory a bit and come up with cross-reference numbers when available. Please note the “AKA” abbreviation (“Also Known As”) in both the listing headline and the description subhead above. When available I’ve listed not only the part number that the blank manufacturer itself utilized but also the equivalent or cross-reference numbers utilized by other key blank manufacturers. Also please note that when I list a brand of car or a brand of residential or commercial lock this is for general info only. This is just a starting point for you. I have no way of knowing which particular model or year cars or which model or year residential locks any given blank will fit. That’s why I’ve included not only separate front and back photos but also a head-on photo of the key blank’s tip. Please do your own homework as to whether this particular blank meets your specific needs. Please note that this listing is for ONE key blank. If the info above shows that more than one is available and you wish to purchase more than one, please note that discounted shipping for multiple blanks will automatically be calculated. Please note I’ve been on Ebay for well over a decade, since 2002, with a perfect 100% positive feedback rating. Please email with any questions & please check out other items I have listed. Thanks so much!
