Vintage Henry Disston & Sons, D-23, 8 TPI Straight Cross Cut Hand Saw 26″. Blade has lite-scratches, and marks, from normal use. Saw has been well taken care of. The writing on blade is faded, but it is readable. Saw has wonderful patina. Original wood handle, has scratches, and marks, from normal use. One of the ears has a crack, pictures will show. Somebody glued it back on. All pins are in good condition. The logo pin has a bigger recessed hole than the pin itself. DISSTON & SONS, PHILADA Horned wood handle is missing tip on top horn and has a few surface splits (see pic) Crosscut skew back blade, complete surface rust patina Missing some brass hardware: missing 1 of 4 dome screws on front, and missing 4 of 5 flat-head screws on back; medallion present Circa 1896-1917 Blade measures 26″ long x 2.5″ high at toe, 6.5″ high at handle edge 8 ppi (if I counted right) Vintage/Antique Disston hand saw in good condition, though blade is complete surface rust. Tip missing on top horn, and some dry surface splits in handle. Wood dry–needs oiling. Missing 1 of 4 brass dome screws on front, and missing 4 of 5 brass flat-top screws on back; medallion present. EXCELLENT LOGO ETCHING. WOULD MAKE A NICE ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION OR A FINE USER. MEASURES 60 1/2″ LONG AND IS 5 3/4″ WIDE IN THE MIDDLE AND 3 1/8″ WIDE AT THE ENDS. THE TEETH ARE FULL LENGTH. AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS THERE IS MINOR STAINING ON THE FRONT LEFT END. THE BACK SIDE HAS STAINING ON EACH END AS SHOWN. Includes the original factory box. As shown this box has a repair and there is a semi-circular cutout on the back. This would make an excellent display item.
