Antique Davis & Cooks Wood Level 2 Porthole 1886 Patent Tool ! Click images to enlarge Description Item: We have an Antique Davis & Cooks wood Level. It has two portholes where you can the bubbles are present and moving. The level reads “Cooks Patent Level Pat. Dec. 7, 1886, Manufactured by Davis & Cooks Watertown, NY U.S.A.”  There is a name on the level we believe the original owner is “JL PETHICK.”  A terrific piece to add to your other vintage tools.  More neat stuff in our Ebay store ! Size and Makeup: Approx. 30″ long and 3 5/8″ wide.  Made of wood and brass. Condition: Typical signs of use and age. One small ding on the edge (see photo).  Otherwise, a nice solid tool! No damage! The bubbles are present and moving.  We are unsure of the accuracy of the piece and if the adjustment screw works. Markings: Read above. Feel free to email any questions! In general, we ship USPS Priority Mail, First Class Mail, or FEDEX (never UPS). ***We reserve the right to adjust the carrier if we feel it is warranted (safety, tracking, etc), at no extra cost to you. First class is mailed in a pouch. USPS is mailed in a box, bubble wrapped and padded with paper. FEDEX shipments are usually double boxed and packed with packing peanuts. If you prefer the most secure shipping method we recommend Priority Mail or FEDEX, not First Class (please email us for a quote if not already stated). COMBINED SHIPMENTS are sent Priority Mail or FEDEX only (no matter what the auction may list as the shipper)!! Sometimes we can ship multiple item purchases cheaper through FEDEX than it would cost to ship 1 or 2 items by USPS Priority Mail. NOTE: Occasionally Ebay shipping calculator is wrong and the shipping amount is incorrect and undercharges. Since Ebay won’t cover the error, we will have to send you a separate invoice for the difference. If it is only a couple of dollars we will cover it. Also Note: FEDEX no longer ships to Hawaii or Alaska. If you live in one of these two states you must pick a different shipping option other than FEDEX (or contact us). International sales are shipped Priority Mail or First Class Mail. All international shipments are insured. We have had international shipments take up to 60 days to arrive (no matter what Ebay estimate time may say).
