Wood nosing plane by Doscher

Nosing Plane-Offered is a double cutter wood nosing plane marked “Marten Doscher New York”. A circa 1879-1894 maker. Heel marked 1 in 1/4. Cutter good with good edge, unmarked. One wedge has an old chip. Body is solid & clean, 9 1/2″ long. I would give this a tool condition rating of Exc.Buy with confidence! Vintage Wood Molding Plane/ radius cut

Vintage Wood Molding Plane/ radius cut ca. mid-1800s (?) Marten Doscher, New York The block measures 9 3/8″x 3 1/2″x 1 1/4″ Radius appears to be about 3/4″, but don’t quote me on that. See pics for condition- there is a crack in the wedge, but it doesn’t go all the way through. Iron will need to be reconditioned and sharpened, but should be usable. Marten Doscher (NY) LARGE 1 1/4″ “Hollow” Moulding Plane – Circa 1890 – Fine!

This plane is in FINE condition – It is as I received it – see the pics. The plane is very clearly marked – the iron is not marked. Doscher was a hardware and tool dealer in NYC in the latter part of the 1800’s. There was a Doscher plane and tool co. in Conneticut who apparently manufactured for Marten and others until 1902.Thanks for looking -if you have a few minutes, I have many other tools listed in my Ebay store. Antique wooden hand plane marked “Marten Doscher New York” on the front of the body. Measures approximately 8 inches in overall length. Fitted with a tapered iron marked “WEST … TOOL CO WARRANTED CAST STEEL” with partial loss to the stamp. Classic small bench plane form with carved wooden body and wedge-secured iron. Crack present on one side of the wooden body. General wear from age and use including surface wear, dings, and oxidation to the iron. See photos for complete details.

I am offering for sale this Fine Antique The Doscher Plane & Tool Co 1/4″ Round Plane Inv#EL53 This 1/4″ round plane is marked The Doscher Plane & Tool Co & previous owner name on toe. The plane measures approximately: 9-1/2″ L x 3/4″ W. The wedge is original. The cutter measures: 7″ x 1/4″, it is rusted and pitted and would need to be sharpened. The plane has some holes, owner name on cheek, minor wear & scars but in overall very good user condition. It has a great feel and patina. “Photos are an integral part of this item’s description. I am offering for sale this Antique Ca 1886 The Doscher Plane & Tool Co 1″ Rabbet Moulding Plane Inv#CF181 Here we have a Ca. 1886 antique vintage 1″ rabbet moulding plane. It is marked on toe The Doscher Plane & Tool Co. The plane has some issues, it has a crack from mouth to heel, but it looks like it has been repaired and reinforced. It is secure and strong for use. The wedge looks original. The cutter imeasures: 7″ x 1″ it has some pitting & rust, I always suggest sharpening. The plane has the typical scars, paint spatters, split & nicks from use and toolbox.
