This is a vintage estate find Stanley Bailey Plane No. 4 Type 11 (1910-1918). It has a smooth bottom. The handles are rosewood and there are brass components. The body is 9-3/8 inches long and the blade is 2 inches wide. All adjustment screws and bolts turn. There is some evidence of past corrosion which does not affect performance. The blade could benefit from a sharpening. This vintage Stanley plane was made in the USA. There are three patent dates: 3/23/1902, 8/19/1902, and 4/19/1910.
