William Greenslade and his successors made planes in Bristol, England, from about 1826 until 1941. I believe that Paris was in 1889. The full boxing is extraordinary, with two keyed-in dovetail joints to secure it.

Antique Greenslade 2″ Compass Smoothing Plane w/ Adjustable Foot
From local woodworkers estate. I believe this was being used and not just for show! The iron blade is 2″ wide. The plane is 7 7/8″ long x 2 13/16″ wide at the widest point. The iron blade stamp is hard to make out, but the plane is clearly marked. The adjustable foot raises and lowers as it should by turning the brass turnscrew. See photos for appraisal, and feel free to ask questions!
