An ORIGINAL CAST IRON AND STEEL FRAME for a Millers Falls No. 1 Langdon “Acme” mitre box by the Millers Falls Company, Millers Falls, Massachusetts. Fully 95% of the original black and red japan finishes remain on this extra clean mitre box frame. Millers Falls, as did the Langdon Mitre Box Company before them, used to number designations for their mitre boxes. The first specified the size, in this case “No. 1” and the numeric designation, which referred to the size of the saw provided with the mitre box, in this case “No. 68”. Length = 19.38 Inches (Ref. The original fixing screw to secure the leg assembly to the mitre box is included as well.
