For sale is a 1978 wall calendar that advertises Sullivan County Livestock in Sullivan, Indiana. Each page of this 12-page spiral-bound calendar features a “Cowpokes” cartoon by Ace Reid. Reid, who died in 1991, was the creator of “Cowpokes” and Western humor. “Cowpokes,” at one time, ran in more than 400 weekly newspapers across the United States. Reid produced many popular cartoon books and calendars. This calendar measures 9 by 15 1/2 inches. It is in very good, clean condition. See my listings for other items, including calendars. Vintage Allflex livestock tagging tool from the 1970’s-1980’s era. Purchased this new to use in our livestock operation. Has both the Y-Tex pin to use with Y-Tex tags installed ready to use in the tool and the original Allflex pin to use with Allflex tags retained under the spring clip in the handle. Used this for may years before updating to newer tagger. Nothing wrong with it other than missing the original plastic clip that held the handles in the closed position. Always stored inside.
