I am offering for sale this FINE USER Antique Vintage Mann Edge Tool Co LEWISTOWN, PA. Double Bit Axe Inv#CR07This is a fine example of a Mann Edge Tool Co Knot Klipper double bit timber framing felling axe with 29 handle. In overall excellent condition for its age and use. The head shows a Knot Klipper Warranted mark on one side and Mann Edge Tool Co, Warranted on the other. It has typical sharpening wear, nicks but has cleaned up nicely. I always suggest sharpening. One cutting edge measures: 4-1/2 the other edge measures 4-5/8″ x W x 9″. Eye measures: 2-5/8″ x 3/4″. Overall tip to tip length is 32″. Total weight of axe with handle is 4 lbs 6oz. The Cayuga Hickory handle has a hairline, & typical nicks but it is in strong condition and it is tight and secure.NOTE: THIS AXE WILL BE SHIPPED WITH HANDLE INTACT….I WILL NOT CHOP IT OFF… This is a fine antique double bit felling axe to add to your collection and ready to go to work!!“Photos are an integral part of this item’s description.
