ANTIQUE 1878 WOOD HANDLE NEVER SLIP BARBED WIRE FENCE STRETCHER FARM RANCH TOOL

This is a used antique farm or ranch tool. This is an antique single line barbed wire fence stretcher. It is made of wood with cast iron grip at knee action, and sheet metal facing against post. Stretcher is shown in Smith & Smith’s Collectors Guide for Fencing Tools as No. 315. Smith’s show this as a “Never-Slip” with an 1878 patent date. Name and dates do not show on this stretcher. Stretcher is 30-1/4″ in length. Tool is complete and in good used condition. There are no off odors.
