Axe, Norlund Hudson Bay Tomahawk Vintage Hatchet / Axe
Came from a local estate. Total length to the end of the handle is approx. 11 1/4″ Handle looks to be a replacement at some point in time and has a split as shown but is very tight and useable as is. Head measures approx. 5 1/4″ long with the blade being approx. 3 1/8″. Will need to be sharpened. Some mushrooming to the head. Still retains some of the blue green original color. Sheath is dirty but all in tacked. Nice little hatchet.

This is an awesome completely original Norland Voyager Hudson Bay hatchet. It’s on its original handle and includes its original leather cover. This is an all original collectible and hasn’t been used in decades. The head is slightly loose and if you wanted to put this back into service, you will need to tighten up the head to use it safely in my opinion. The leather cover also has some cracking on the belt band as pictured. This is sold as a collectible as is. Vintage Norlund “Camper’s” 26-Inch Axe, Classic Hudson Bay Design, Good Cond.
I believe this is Norlund’s Camper model. That word is not etched into the head but it could be that this axe was made before that word was added to the head, based on views of identical axes. That might place this axe late 60’s or early 70’s.

It is impressed Saddle Cruiser on the cheek. The axe mask is marked Genuine Norlund. We find the axe to be in very nice condition with light signs of use. The bits are sharp but show minor chipping that could easily be cleaned up.
