Well Used But Still Good Norris London Steel Panel Plane

INCHMARTINE TOOL BAZAAR (Scotland)The UK’s premier source for quality old woodworking tools for over 35 years. Well used early Norris of London 14 1/2″ long dovetailed steel panel plane. This is not one for the purist but is a good one for the craftsman. Gunmetal lever cap with original dark rosewood infill with fully enclosed rear handle. Old replacement blade by Colhoun & Cadman of Sheffield is cast steel. There is minor pitting to the metal predominantly to the sole and the rear handle has a couple of old repairs. Still a very good plane for the user. Early 1900’s. 2 1/2″ wide blade. Taken from the massive collection of tools we currently have in stock. Some of which came from the largest private tools collection in Scotland built up over 60 years which I purchased a couple of years ago. Many thousands of items purchased, I will be posting fresh items every week (probably until I die !!!!! there is so much of it).
