Primitive Antique Amish Oak Wooden Vice Type Tool

Inside and attached to the top of cabinet were these wood working pieces made out of oak that I realized all went together to make this tool. This cabinet was used in an old schoolhouse. Not exactly sure what the tool is or what it was used for but I know it is very old.

Wooden Fid / Marker / Stake – 12.5″ long. I’m honestly not sure if this is a fid or a marker of some sort. It’s made with two pieces of wood – the shank is made of oak, and the ball is a different variety. It’s in great condition!

This appears to be a vintage H. Gerstner & Sons machinist’s chest, possibly a Union. commonly crafted from oak, this chest features multiple small drawers lined with felt, designed for storing precision instruments. The flip down board to cover drawers is still present. Comes with Excelsior latches. The mirror under the flip top is missing 1 section of its frame. Refer to pics.
