(1) Stanley Type 16 Plane. A few spots have very light pitting if you want to pick nits. The paint looks black and shiny in the photos, because we knocked off most of the rust with a wire wheel and wiped her down with light machine oil.
Vintage Stanley Bailey No 3 Type 16 Bench Plane USA. 1933 To 1941. Complete.
This is in nice vintage condition. It spent decades on display with a tool collector who maintained it. Not restored but rather a nice survivor. The chips or cracks in either the tote or knob. Everything moves smoothly and no stuck threads. I would suspect it would need a quick sharpening to use but no chips in the edge of the iron.

This is a Stanley 5 1/4 plane. It is a type 16. Probably 98% japanning. The sole has some fine micro pitting and I tried to show that in a picture. There is some faint paint around the BAILEY. Brake fluid shouls remove that without affecting the japanning. The nickel plating is very good, but has some blistering. The tote and knob are good with no cracks. See pictures for details.
