Great desktop display item!Vintage Hamilton 8 ounce oz Postal Letter Scale from Hamilton Scale Company of Toledo Ohio, with original paper postal chart, probably from the 1940’s or early 50’s. The 3 cent rate for one ounce of first class postage was in place from 1917-1919, and again from 1932 to 1957. In good to very good working condition. Some wear as expected with age, and light grime. Light surface corrosion on the counter weight, and a few spots on the scale. Paper postal chart has some fading and a nibble as shown. Base is about 2 1/4″ x 4″ , and scale is about 5 1/2″ tall.
