1959-1970’s Republic Gear Co. Mich. 14” Wood Machinist Hammer Handle, 16 – 20oz
The hammer handle is new old stock, unused but may need cleaning. It still has the original label intact and the staple on the bottom to hang it up at the store display. The Republic Gear Co. was established in Detroit Michigan in 1923 and in 1959 moved to St. Clair Shores MI. They closed for business in the 1970’s and the historic factory building is now a Mercedes Benz dealership according to information online. The handle is not cracked or split but will need some old glue and what may be grease cleaned off. The label is legible and will be shown in the photos.
