Description/Details: This is for Lane Cedar Chests made from 1987 and back – it doesn’t fit the newer S series. You will receive 1 key. You can check to see if this is for your chest by checking the number on the back of the lock, the serial number and the model/series.If the number is 25-1, 25-5, 26-1, 28-1, 28-2, 29-1, 29-2 then this key should work.Usually Lane cedar chests have serial numbers that are stamped or applied to the bottom of the chests.You can read the serial number BACKWARDS to determine the production date.For example: serial number 753150 would have been produced on 05/13/57.Some chests may also have an extra digit which denotes the plant location.For example: serial number 2557121 would have been produced on 12/17/55 in plant #2If all these parameters are met, this key should work – it does most of the time. Not guaranteed to work – no returns. Some locks have been damaged, changed or worn out so I cannot guarantee it to work.
