Antique Auto Theft Signal System Wheel Lock Security Miller-Chapman Patent 1914

…… When I first saw this “Auto Theft Signal System” I was confused how it works. My friend and I had ideas, but it took the internet to explain how it works. c1910s Model T spoke wheel Auto-theft signal system wheel locking device

Here is a vintage wheel lock system for old cars with spoke tires. It looks like a 1914 patent date on the name plate – that plate offering $100 reward in case someone steals the car with this in use. It’s about 9 inches long and is from the Security Auto-Theft Signal System from the Security Mfg Co., successors to Miller Chapman Company. That name plate has a couple tears in it’s metal and there is no key. The Corbin lock looks to have some denting where the key is supposed to go in. Inside the apparatus are the raised letters “B3”. I’ll pay for shipping on this within the United States. Anyhow, I’m just an easy going farmer so if you aren’t happy with the item, no big deal, just let me know. I’d rather not ship this internationally because the cost would be horrendous, but if you need a quote let me know.
