Vintage Gambles Artisan Single Bit Axe Head Blue with Wood Handle Here we have this vintage Gambles Artisan single bit axe head with attached wooden handle. Measures approximately 19″ long with an approx. 6 1/2″ wide x 4″ tall head. This is vintage and pre-owned; Estate found. There is wear/tear and weathering throughout consistent with its age and regular use. Original blue paint is still visible despite fading. There is a screw installed by the previous owner to tighten the grip on the handle. Being sold exactly as pictured above. HICKORY 36″ Single Bit AXE HANDLE ~ Unfinished ~ Amish Made 2-7/16″ eye New quality Amish made American hickory wood 36″ straight single bit AXE HANDLE. Nicely sanded and unfinished, ready to receive whatever finish you desire. Fits eye size 7/8″ x 2-7/16″. Includes wedge. All of our hickory is properly dried and cured and brought to the lowest possible moisture content prior to making our handles. (Also available in fire finished and lacquered.
