Stanley No. 4, corrugated bottom smoothing plane. There is also one patent date, barely visible, stamped on the lateral adjust lever (Circa 1902-1907). The hardwood tote and knob may be original but I’m unable to verify.

Nice rust free condition with above average japanning. Has crack free rosewood tote & knob & the iron has very good length.

Stanley No. 4, smooth bottom smoothing plane, made in the U.S.A. cast into the bed. The tote and knob appear to be original hardwood painted black. The blade is type correct with a BB trademark logo.
Vintage Shelton No. 03 (No. 3 Size) Smoothing Plane 1 3/4″ Cutter Patent 1914609
Comparable in size to the Stanley No. 3. The patent number 1914609 is cast into the lever cap. A captive cast iron square bolt engages a small slot on the cutter. The cap is secured in place and pinned against a rod with the central brass screw.
