It is marked “STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO PATENTED SEPT 25, 1877” on the top adjusting knob, and very faintly marked “STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO NEW BRITAIN CONN PAT’D APR 18, 1876 REIS’D MAR 20, 1877” on the iron.
Antique Disston & Morss Try 12”Square Wood And Brass
Antique 12” Disston & Morss 12” try square wood and brass, no markings on blade Has been lightly cleaned, oiled and waxed. Blade is connected with three steel pins through a brass inlay. Disston & Morss logo is a very faint, but still readable. There is a 7 stamped into the handle. This would be a great addition to any collection Please see photos for more details

The plane also has the a lighter colored boxwood boxing in the lower right front corner in front of the throat as shown. It is glued in, with a tiny bit of squeeze-out visible. The body and the wedge are both boxwood.

The iron has a faint mark but I can’t begin to make it out. John Moseley and his many successors were prolific plane makers in London, England, from about 1795 until about 1910. Condition is excellent, other than pitting on the iron.
