For sale is a huge lot of Machinist Tools from the estate of a local blacksmith. Check the pictures carefully, as they provide the best evaluation of condition. Some of these pieces look barely used, a few have some surface rust, and all have some wear. The lot includes the following:(87) Various Style Taps and Sizes. I see taps from Butterfield, Hy-Pro, Winter, Besly, Cord, NBM, Morse (including a vtg boxed set of 3 hand taps), Vermont, Handy, Bath, Craftsman, Threadwell, Netco, Union, UB and Thread Kits Co.(28) Dies in various sizes: I see dies from Craftsman(majority), NPT, Columbia, and UK Jr.(17) At least 17 various tools, including tap and die wrenches (Butterfield, Craftsman, others), a couple of unique vises, a Nicholson file and other tools I can’t identify, as this is not my specialty area. As such, I can’t make a knowledgeable assessment of the working condition of the tools, so please check the pictures carefully, and send me follow-up questions.Also, miscellaneous other unidentified pieces you see in these pictures. This lot weighs just a tad over 20 pounds. Please ask questions before bidding so that I can insure you know exactly what you are bidding on.
