This is an old and creative primitive rustic handmade string winder for a workshop. It was created after 1928, when plywood came onto the scene in the US (sides have rough saw marks, so this is definitely an older 20th century piece). Measures 8.25 inches tall by 7.5 inches wide to the edge of the handle (3 inches deep). Nicely stained. From a smoke free home. Thank you for looking and bidding!

Neat little plane, measures 9 1/4 from front to back with a 1 3/4 inch blade usage. Folks that “know planes” will know what the circle with a U means (such is stamped above the “Made in the USA”) and more about the unique shape of the blade adjuster, the year it was made, etc. Pretty handle, no cracks but some wobble.
