When I first got this old vise, most of the red paint had worn off, so I just took a wire wheel to it, to remove most of the remaining red paint (see pics & vid). I then put a special blend of WD40 on the vise to prevent it from rusting.

unbranded No 800 portable hobby craft clamp on bench vise = 5-1/2″ wide jaw
Opens and closes nicely. Jaw is 4″ tall on side opposite the clamp. The cam engages and locks down the toothed middle bar. When the cam in disengaged, the vise can be opened all the way and closed all the way with a simple push OR pull of the handle.
