I know little about this gauge type, but it seems to function. I can’t say that it works properly, which is one reason it is in the collectible category. The box is solid and in good condition, with strong hinges and a hook latch on the front.

What a rare find. I just love the antique look of this 100 year old box. Much of the lettering is still intact inside, indicating the box was for aratchet, socket, and wrench set. The box is strong and totally useable as is (I like the history shown in the ‘repairs’, and in the eraant hand writing in the lid.note it is the early cursive style of the early 1900’s!).
