US Army, USAF?. There is no information online for an axe like it. We took it to a military vehicle show in Plymouth, California. We were told it has WWII to Korean War era thick olive drab paint that has lots of scratches but it is the super durable coating that was used on PT boats.

This has been in a box of random parts for decades and it has scuffs and scratches and such. It is untested but it does show the correct temperature outside at the moment being 77⁰.
