18thC Antique Hand-Wrought Iron Latch, Lock, Handcuff, Slave ??? Mystery Item

Here is an Oldie Mystery Piece. It looks open and lock in place. The nub on the side looks to house a spring loaded pin that hods the unit either locked closed or locked open. To open it I pushed in the pin that is in the recessed rectangular box. Anyway if someone recognizes what this is I would appreciate a message??? NOTE: I got a message this Lock was made by American Seal Lock Company. It utilized seal in the recessed slot that had to be broken to access the release button. A rare lock.
