In very good+ condition. Stamped 'Cowell & Chapman Newcastle' (1859- 1899). Original wedges and tight mouths, sole straight, and body free from distortion or perceptible worm. York pitch (50°). Cuts a 3/4” x 1/4” groove, 7/16 flat with 9/16” x 1/4” chamfer; as per sample cut in pine seen in the images.
