Thurmaston is a village near Leicester, England. 6 inch long and 2 3/8 inches wide with heavy rim construction. Original makers plaque. Estimated date from my research says 1880-1915. Has an interesting, attractive style keyhole and hand-fitted construction details. Possibly used for a gate, stable or warehouse. It retains its patina. There is no key. An excellent architectural antique and collectors item. Has been in my private collection for 50 years. Now liquidating.
