This is a vintage restored 3.5lb Plumb Jersey Pattern Single Bit axe. the head alone weighs in overweight at 3 lb 10 oz. The handle is a handmade using heartwood hickory with a iron oxide/Danish oil finish which brings out stunning grain pattern, personally my favorite finish. The head is sharp and straight in line with the handle. Overall length is 30.5 inches. Wedged with red oak. The cheeks are fat with a good convex profile, would make for an excellent splitting axe.
