Vintage primitive Indian padlock – 18th/19th century?

This is a very primitive blacksmith-made iron padlock which is probably of Indian origin. Comparing it to other examples I have found online I would date it to the 18th or 19th centuries. There is no key but I have been unable to open it using a small screw driver. It measures 6in long by 3in wide. This would look great open any Indian chest or trunk. I have another slightly smaller Indian padlock I am also selling.
