A good quality bench chisel is absolutely essential to the woodworkers tool chest, and this finely made 4 piece set from Crown really fits the bill. The blades are hot forged from the finest carbon steel, mirror polished, and are honed and ready to go (though we recommend the user do a little extra final honing to their satisfaction before use). The edges are beveled to help get into tight areas, as when cleaning up narrow mortises or dovetails. Completing the chisels are beautiful 5-1/4"" long tropical hardwood handles, which are tapered for comfort in use, and fitted with attractive brass ferrules. Depending on the size, the chisels in the set have an overall length of approximately 10-1/2"" to 11"", with a blade length of 4-3/4"" to 5-3/4"". Made in England from fine Sheffield steel. 4 Pc. Set: Includes: a 1/4"", 1/2"", 3/4"" and 1"" chisel (6, 12, 20, and 25mm).
