This is an antique brass steam gauge made for the Newell Supply Co. of San Francisco. 1878-1897 The dial face indicates it measures up to 150 PSI. The gauge uses a Bourdon tube mechanism, as indicated by the text "BOURDON" on the lower part of the face. It was manufactured by the Ashcroft Manufacturing Company of Boston, Massachusetts, a prominent maker of gauges in the late 19th century.
