Early 1900s Extra Large 12″ Farm Agriculture 3 Arm Hand Forged Grappling Hook

This hook is from a family farm southwest of Webster Wisconsin. This is one of many items that were in small shed being demolished. This particular grappling hook has a pure agriculture background and was used mainly for harvesting crops. It is much larger than most measuring approx. 12″ in every direction. These hooks were almost always made to order by a local blacksmith. It is unique due to its size and condition. The last picture shows it next to a roll of paper towel for size comparison. As can be seen in photos it does have surface rust. Please check photos as they are a large part of description. Any questions please contact me. Thanks for taking a look.

Fiery Furnace Blacksmith – 4PC Fuller Set – MADE IN THE USA

These are the Fiery Furnace 4pc Fuller Sets There are four sizes of fullers in this set…1/8-inch1/4-inch3/8-inch1/2-inch(Sizes are APPROXIMATE) Fullers are used in blacksmithing work to push material out directionally in a controlled and precise manner. They allow you to create isolations, push ridges up into a bar, decorate a piece, and a host of other applications limited only by your imagination. This set gives you four size options for doing different sizes of grooves or decorations, to make sure you have the right tool for the right application at the right time. These tools are forged from new 5160 spring steel. They are forged and ground without any heat-treatment. These tools are designed for hot-work and if used properly will hold up very well. 5160 is a naturally tough material and it is what I personally use for all of my fullers in my own shop. The forging surfaces are profiled and polished up to 120 grit and are ready to go to work in your shop. ________________________________________________________________ Check out the rest of my store! https://www.ebay.com/str/fieryfurnaceforge SHIPPING NOTE: I currently have a 5-business day handling time on this product. Fiery Furnace Blacksmith – Scroll Tongs – MADE IN THE USA

These are the Fiery Furnace Curved Jaw Scroll Tongs Our scroll tongs feature a unique curved-jaw design that allows you to grasp various thicknesses of stock without drastically changing the grip width of the tong handles. This makes your single pair of scroll tongs much more versatile than standard; straight-jaw scroll tongs. All of our tongs are made from new 5160 spring steel. This makes them lighter and stronger than other tongs, which translates into a more comfortable grip and less fatigue on your hand. The overall length of my scroll tongs is approximately 15 inches, and the reigns are a rounded, rectangular profile making them comfortable and not too bulky. All of our tongs are forged to finish, cleaned in a vibratory tumbler, and finished with a dry linseed oil/turpentine mix, rust inhibitor. (Not a greasy or oily finish.) DO NOT QUENCH TONGS! If you heat these tongs up and cool them in water, they will break. It is EXTREMELY bad habit to overheat your tongs. Good habit is to dunk your tongs in water rapidly, IN and back OUT very quickly. This will cool your tongs down slowly and prevent making the material hard and brittle. If you do not understand this process….do not hesitate to ask questions. ________________________________________________________________ Check out the rest of my store! https://www.ebay.com/str/fieryfurnaceforge SHIPPING NOTE: I currently have a 5-business day handling time on this product. Fiery Furnace Blacksmith – Firepot 10×12-inch For Blacksmithing Forge – USA MADE

Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico Customers,Please see shipping note below! THE FABRICATED BLACKSMITH’S FIREPOT My firepots have been a huge success over the last 5 years that we’ve been offering them for sale. There are literally thousands currently in use from coast to coast, border to border, in the U.S. and World Wide! If you need a new firepot to replace your old cast iron one, if you’re fixing up an old forge, building a new one, or building your first ever forge, this could be the heart and soul of your forge and you will love it! This is the same style and size firepot that I’ve used in my own shop, full time. I have been using it for about 6-7 years now, and love it. In my years of blacksmithing I have used a number of shapes, sizes, and styles of firepots. I have always fabricated my own instead of buying the expensive cast iron pots. Those firepots are running between $300 and $400 nowadays PLUS shipping. Fabricated firepots DO NOT require ANY lining like cast iron forges/pots. Fabricated steel is not susceptible to cracking during temperature changes like cast iron is. So here, for your consideration, is my own fabricated steel firepot. They are made right here in Columbia, Kentucky by me and my helpers in my shop. Here are the specs. The inside dimensions of the pot are approximately 10-inches x 12-inches x 3.5-inches.The firepot is made entirely from 1/2-inch thick, plasma cut plate steel, and is welded inside and out. The lip is 1/4-inch plate steelThis firepot will fit in a forge with a minimum 10.5-inch x 12.25-inch rectangular hole in it. The hole in your forge doesn’t need to be any larger than 11.75-inches x 13.75-inches. My firepots come complete and ready to use with a clinker breaker, weighted ash dump, and air-inlet pipe. The ash dump / air pipe system is one-piece and bolts on to the firepot. (The firepot will come disassembled and will require you to attach the ash dump and clinker breaker with a 9/16-inch socket / wrench.) The ash dump is 11-inches long and 3.5-inches square. It has two tabs on it, which hold the two 3/8-inch bolts to fasten it to the firepot. (Bolts ARE included) It has a weighted ash dump door that permits you to dump coal ashes that are fed through the clinker breaker. The air inlet pipe is 3-inches round (outside diameter,) and is 4.5-inches long. The clinker breaker is made with a piece of 1/2-inch thick plate steel, the same as the firepot, and a 1/2-inch round steel handle. It fits in a slot in the ash dump. The round hole in the bottom of the fire pot is 3-inches in diameter, and the clinker breaker is 2.5 inches in diameter, which leaves a 1/4-inch slot all the way around for air to come into the firepot from your blower. This works quite well. The assembled firepot weighs about 40 pounds. I have used these pots on a daily basis to forge the hammers, punches, and tongs that I sell here on my eBay store. They will give you many years of good service when taken care of properly. The in-use pictures are of my own coal forge in my own shop. The hot billet shown on the anvil is a 2.25-inch diameter, 4.25-inch long, 4.75 pound hammer billet heated up to full forging temperature from 35 degrees in 9 minutes. I am personally using a Dayton 1TDP7 blower and air gate control. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico Customers need to contact me for an accurate shipping quote BEFORE ordering, otherwise a surcharge of $100 extra shipping will be automatically included. ________________________________________________________________ Check out the rest of my store! https://www.ebay.com/str/fieryfurnaceforge SHIPPING NOTE: I currently have a 5-business day handling time on this product. Fiery Furnace Blacksmith – Punch Tongs – MADE IN THE USA

These are the Fiery Furnace Punch Tongs This is a style of tongs that I use daily and that I own multiple pairs of. They are designed specifically for holding punches, chisels, touchmarks, and drifts securely as you hammer. This effectively keeps your hand away from hot steel and away from your hammer swing, while also making it easier to see exactly where your tool is located as you strike it. These tongs can be used with any of the punches and chisels I offer and can also be used to hold shorter tooling for work under power hammers. The jaws of these tongs are set up for holding 5/8-inch round and square stock but will also work with tools that are slightly larger or smaller. They can, of course, be altered by heating and bending the jaws to accommodate different sizes. They are about 16 inches long. All of our tongs are made from new 5160 spring steel. This makes them lighter and stronger than other tongs, which translates into a more comfortable grip and less fatigue on your hand. All of my tongs are forged to finish, cleaned in a vibratory tumbler, and finished with a dry linseed oil/turpentine mix, rust inhibitor.
