Vintage Bonney Tools 3/8″dr T-9 Speed Wrench CV circle Stamping 1920s/30s era

Bonney Forge & Tool Co. Vintage T-9 Speed Wrench in Excellent Condition CV circle stamping, Chrome Vanadium finish Spinner handle grip Logo, all stamping clean and clear Original finish is still present and in excellent condition Overall it’s in very good shape, little used see pics for detailsLength just under 17.25″, Offset throw is 3.75″ Great addition to a collection and fully usable of course According to Alloy Artifacts, Bonney Tools with The CV circle stamping, Chrome Vanadium finish are circa 1923-1939 CV Chrome-Vanadium. CV-Circle logo with Chrome-Vanadium, used in advertisements as early as 1923 with a claimed trademark registration in 1925. Phased out in favor of Bonaloy beginning in 1939.I will go with that on the age range, this is a very, very clean example for an 80 plus year old tool. But not unheard of if only used a few times then tucked away in the tool chest Flat rate standard shipping to all US addresses is $7.50Expedited or International at additional cost Combined shipping always available on my listings***Always willing to take offers on the vintage tool listings, especially if you want more than one item. Just ask*** ***USPS rates went up effective 15th July….Trying to hold shipping cost to a fair/reasonable fee. Please keep in mind, ebay takes nearly 15% on sales, INCLUDING the shipping cost. So even tho there is typically a discount on price, If I flat rate at $6.00, ebay takes their cut and USPS comes out to $5.00 plus now, I still lost money on shipping with that and cost of supplies…. Not complaining, just putting facts out there. This is why I do flat rate on the tools usually, average it all out, but adjustments are made due to this. Sold as is/described, No Returns on this item

Bonney Forge & Tool Co. Vintage 550AS Open End Wrench 3/8-7/16″ No production code stampings on this age… But having both the face stamp of Bonney with Shield/Crest and the B in Crest stamping on the shank indicate production years 1915 to 1920 Length: 4.75″ Weight: 2.4 oz.Overall Condition is Good Plus, shows normal signs of use and age but not damage noted. Normal dings/scratches/pits etc…***There is a stress fracture on the 3/8″ end, look on left side of 550AS mark and you will see it. So will not call this a truly usable tool, collection only*** Tool has been lightly cleaned up Great addition to a collection ***Always willing to take offers on the vintage tool listings, especially if you want more than one item. Just ask*** Flat rate standard shipping to all US addresses is $5.50Expedited or International at additional cost Combined shipping always available on my listings ***USPS rates went up effective 15th July….Trying to hold shipping cost to a fair/reasonable fee. Bonney T36 Sliding “T” Handle 3/8 Square Drive Early 1940s

Bonney Vise & Tool began business in the late 19th Century. It’s name was changed to Bonney Forge and Tool in 1921 to reflect its broader range of products. Bonney was one of the first companies to begin making Steel Alloy Wrenches. In 1923 Bonney announced the production of a Wrench, “guaranteed to strip the thread or break the bolt without damage to the wrench.” (see Alloy Artifacts, http://alloy-artifacts.org/bonney-forge-tool.html#intro). We figure this Handle was produced before 1947 because the change from being marked “MADE IN U.S.A.” to just “U.S.A.” happened about that time. “(T)he change from the ‘Made in U.S.A.’ marking to the simpler ‘U.S.A.’ form . . . ceased in 1946-47, estimated” (http://alloy-artifacts.org/bonney-forge-tool.html#dates). That this T36 has a plain finish rather than chrome plating places production to early 1940s. The Sliding “T” Handle is in fully functional condition with the Head sliding smoothly and the detent working properly. There is no evidence of misuse or abuse, only typical, pressure-point wear (see images). The tool can look good or handle a day’s work — or both. We will ship the T36 by USPS Ground Advantage (formerly 1st Class Package) on the next regular business day following receipt of payment.
