This is a nice one, and the patina just glows, recent estate find. There is a little bit of damage as you can see on the tip, but the patina is very thick over that also. Ohio Tool Co. Antique Original Wooden Plow Plane Woodworking Plane w/ Iron Blade

I cleaned this up some and sharpen the blade a little and it does work. Some of the wooden screw is stripped as is typical with these. Everything is moving freely right now there’s one crack in one of the knobs (see photos) but it works fine. The tip is also off the handle, but if your handy you can restore it. Some people cut the bad section of threads off and shorten these slightly as an easier way to restore the thread.

2 19th c. Beechwood Planes (1 Ohio Tool Co .Concave Half Round, 1 English Block)

We are offering two 19th c. beechwood planes. The first is a molding plane with a half round concave profile. It is complete but somewhat worn. It is stamped by the Ohio Tool Company and many times by a former owner named J.M.Rose. It is 9.5″ long x 1.5″ thick x 3.5″ tall. The second plane is a small smoothing plane. It has its blade and wedge but no chip breaker or lever cap. It is faintly stamped: ….W BROS / SHEFFIELD. It is 6.5″ long x 2.5″ tall x 2.5″ thick (at the widest point). Vintage Ohio Tool Co No 029 O29 29 Transitional Wood Plane 20″ (Restored) The plane has been restored by a previous owner. It is not a perfect restoration but looks nice and would make a good user plane, also a nice uncommon collectible piece. The iron is tapered and 2-3/8″ wide, and nice and tall. Handles are both solid and crack free. There are some minor spots of rust in areas on the iron, chip breaker, and frog. See pics for best description.
