Vintage Ulmia Two Cherries W Germany Woodworking Chisel Gouge 8 Pc Set Kirschen

Pre-owned, user-grade condition. The handles are solid with normal age patina, surface finish wear, and light hammer strike marks on the butt hoops. Steel blades show typical factory lacquer crazing/spidering and minor surface oxidation, but remain sound with plenty of usable blade length left for sharpening and honing. An UNUSED 1 1/2 M.M. “PLUGGING” CHISEL, No. A720, by Two Cherries, Remscheid, Germany. These specialized chisels, which were also produced with a 2 mm thick blade, were used for the fitting of specialized window sash hinges. The cutting edge measures 1 3/16″ in width. The complete process of fitting and mounting the hinges is shown in the Youtube video, “Fitschen, Fitschenbänder einstemmen, Lappenbänder für Türen und Fenster”. This is a vintage new-old-stock Two Cherries brand “ziehklingenstahl” round 120mm wood burnishing tool made in West Germany.
