Ancient Wooden Nautical Block Parts

These have been kicking around in my bins of nautical geekery for 30 years or so, and I don’t remember where they came from. Sold for their antiquity, not any assumption about practicality. The steel pulleys are an inch and a half in diameter and one half inch wide.

parts – iron blade cutter w/ lever for Craftsman wood block plane by Sargent BL

BL was the code used by Sears to indicate tools made for them by Sargent, and the attached lateral lever is also an indication that it was made by Sargent. It is marked “CRAFTSMAN MADE IN USA BL”. Note that this iron has the 3 rectangular holes for the adjuster, the long oval hole or slot for the lateral lever, and the lateral adjuster attached to the iron with the little screw.
