It is marked "SHAPLEIGH HARDWARE CO TRADE DE MARK DIAMOND EDGE" in a diamond shaped logo with the DIAMOND EDGE a bit faint. Their tools were made for them by other manufacturers. Actual width at the sharp edge is a hair over 1-5/8" (dial calipers say 1.630", 1-5/8" is 1.625").
