You don’t see many of these, especially these days when they simply drive the grounding rods in with a slide hammer. This tool would be pinned onto a threaded grounding rod and screwed into the ground, and then reversed, making a hole for the permanent grounding rod. Both pieces are solid, brass or bronze.
