My GUESS for this plane would be early 30's. It has a tall knob and notch logo on the blade. The lever cap has the straight hole. The wood on this plane is really exceptional with only a VERY few "toolbox dings". The japanning is nearly complete. There are some scratches on the sole which could be lapped out if desired. The frog is the older style. All things considered, this is truly an excellent example of a #2 - I have not done anything to it since it came my way. Thanks for looking - if you have a few minutes, I have many other tools listed in my Ebay store. (LR9. 626 E)
