This is a high quality wooden jointer plane in excellent condition and roughly 22” in length. The name refers to a French planemaker, with "E. Peyron" that is stamped into the, hardwood body of this hand plane. French toolmaker E. Peyron traditionally manufactured wooden jointer planes (known in French as rabots or varopes) out of cormier (known in English as service tree or wild service wood The plane Features a traditional hammer-set iron and chipbreaker secured with a wooden wedge.
