I am selling some of father’s Vintage tool collection. Here I have an engineering COPPER HEADED Mallet. It is a very tactile and beautiful toll in great vintage condition. I have not cleaned it as I did not want to remove the patina. The copper head will unscrew from the handle for replacement. It is a lovely small size measuring approximately 190mm long. The copper head is approximately 50mm x 33mm x 40mm. It weighs 847 grams Unlike conventional steel hammers, a copper face is strictly designed to wear down over time as it absorbs the shock of impact. Over years of heavy use, the copper faces will "mushroom" or flatten. This example has clearly been very lightly used and shows very little mushrooming.
