Vintage and used so signs of wear and use are always present. Have not attempted to clean or polish in any way. Feels good in your hand. Very cool flathead. Nice weight and they just dont make them anymore like this. It is barn fresh, you can feel the dirt in your hand or shop fresh.. little mechanic tool type grit oil dirt mix. It has not been altered or restored or probably cleaned ever. It was cared for and stored with a nice collection of tools from retired military prior owner. Has been indoor and in tool box. It has character, little chips worn spots divets in the wood handle. Has a look you cant recreate that good honest wear. Marked made in the US of A , Gov. Stock, 41-5-1076.
